I have never forgotten my first contact with the Mediterranean sea. It was in the south of Italy. After travelling down by train from Rome to Brindisi on a student rail pass, I finally reached the beach and sat with my feet in the water turning my face to the sun like a sunflower. I felt my body and all its layers of defense, melting into butter.
Today Blue and Bonnie had their first meeting with this blue warm enchanted sea. The waves came to find them and the winter sun stroked their backs. Blue was dancing with joy and found new energy to run and jump and of course bark.

HOW MARVELOUS!!!!
They must have had the most wonderful time! Nice and warm too.
Wow, wow and wow. What a great decision to get your dogs and their old bones there. As for your comment about them not quite making it out the door some mornings, perhaps it is just them getting used to being where they are, their own form of settling in and adjusting. Although we still haven’t any snow to speak of, it is cold here and I wish I could warm my toes in your sun! (so to speak, of course…)
Lovely posts, Kate. A great post by Blue too.
Welcome back to Spain, Kate. Felices fiestas to you and yours and all your furry friends.

Happy New Year Kate I hope your life in Spain brings you the happiness you deserve.
We celebrated New Year alone this year as we are both suffering from different bugs. Mine was the usual throst and Geoff stomach.
We are off to Buenos Aires for 6 weeks in late January so hopefully we will be fit and well by then.
Keep posting I am always reading up on what you have written.
I know the feeling of learning a new language Geoff has insisted we have Spanish lessons every week before we go to Argentina it does my little brain in struggling with this.
Anyway have a good new year joy and love to you and yours.
